Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. She comes from the fourth Roberts family to have lived in Atlanta. The story began with her great grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was a farm. Her father took an early interest in theatre. When he was a student at Emory University he appeared in diverse productions, both on and off the campus. He joined the air force in 1953. While stationed in Biloxi Mississippi was cast in the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in the air force. The two married in 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter and his wife left their Air Force service in, when they enrolled Walter in Tulane University. Walter began his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou financed their own production of the local Sunday morning children's show, Bum Bum and His Buddies. The following year, they started the Actors and Writers Workshop which operated for six years. In 1965, they welcomed two children to the family: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
