Sofia Pernas, a Moroccan born in California who was raised within Orange County, moved there when she was five years old. In the year 2015, she graduated from University of California San Diego and got her first break as an actress. Pernas has made minor appearances on NCIS as well as Leverage before landing the part as Marisa on The Young and the Restless, was a familiar face on the soap show. In 2016, after leaving the soap and landed the role as Catalina in Jane the Virgin. The model, who is fluent in four different languages, has been seen since appearing in The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also was on the show Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Then, in Blood & Treasure, from 2019 until 2020 she portrayed Lexi Vaziri. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas was dating Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The relationship began shortly after The This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November 2019. In May 2021, the news was reported that Pernas Hartley was recently engaged in secret.
