Harry Edward Styles, known in the world of music by the name of Harry Styles, is a British singer and composer known as a member of the group One Direction. He is the child of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1, 1994 in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where as well as three of his classmates, he formed his own band, White Eskimo. They participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they were winners. Although he has always been fascinated by the arts, he interested in becoming an attorney or physical therapist. In order to support his family, he spent an hour or so working in a bakery. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. It was for this reason that his band broke up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge that suggested Harry Styles to be part of a new group named One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to form the band in 2010. The group sang songs such as My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group were among the hopefuls for the prize. They came third in front of Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell didn't get the win in the contest. But Cowell provided Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
