LeBron Raymone James Sr., born the 30th of December, 1984 is an American professional basket ball player who represents the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). Nicknamed King James he is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players ever and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James is the winner of four NBA Championships, the four NBA MVP Awards as well as the four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has two Olympic Gold medals. James holds the record for the most number of points scored in the post-season. He is second in overall career score and 7th the most assists in his career. In addition to being an NBA All-Star, James was picked to the NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. The ten NBA Finals is the most ever before, with eight of them in succession between the years 2011-2018; James was also chosen to join the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. James was chosen to be part of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. He became the NBA's first player to score 10,000 points, rebounds and assists in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High School close to his home in Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hyped up by the media. In 2003 it was the year that his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers took him first during the NBA draft as a pro-to-prep. In 2004, he was named NBA Rookie. He soon became one of league's top players, and won the NBA MVP title in both the years 2009 and the year 2010. James signed a free-agent contract in 2010 after failing to secure championships for Cleveland. The decision to quit Cleveland in order to join Miami Heat, announced on the show on television The Decision, is considered as one of the most controversial free-agent decisions in the history of sports.
