As a nod to the music group Young Kingz, of which Mike Towers is a founding member, he changed the first letter from the i into an y in 2017. Myke Towers is a part of the underground rap scene of Puerto Rico since his adolescence publishing his first compositions and freestyles on the SoundCloud account. His 2014 songs Dia de cobro Por Mi Es Normal as well as En los Bloques made him an international star. In 2014, he received recognition due to his La Nueva Droga freestyle and his interpretation of Drake's first song, 0 To 100.
